The Bahubali of Melukote,The iron man Sri Kalamegham Ramaswamy Iyengar (80+yrs)attained the lotus feet on the day of his serving Lord Nrsmha Jayanthi (as per Sauramana calendar). His 70+ years of tireless seva was reserved only for Lord Nrsmha.
Sri Kalamegham Ramaswamy Iyengar carried water for abhisheka from the pushkarani down below to the Yoga Narasimha temple atop Melukote hill for several decades. Its a steep climb of over 300 steps, plus the added distance from Pushkarani. He passed away on Narasimha Jayanti (as per sauramana calendar) – June 13.
